Enterprise activities involving students now take place all year round at Bucks. The Creative Talent Showcase took place on Friday 16 March at the Arts4Every1 Centre for Creativity and Enterprise in High Wycombe. Four judges watched 17 of our highly talented students who had been shortlisted for this final round. The standard across the Visual and Performance categories was extremely high and it was a very tough decision to agree on the final three winners.

First Prize of £500 in the Visual Category went to Sander Saar for his sensitive and insightful documentary about the design process. Sander, in his final year of BA Business and Digital Communications, has won Enterprise Bucks competitions in each of his three years of participating. Sander also won the Library Film Competition earlier this year.

First Prize of £500 in the Performance Category was awarded to Rudorwashe Gombah for her exemplary talent as a singer songwriter. She gave a powerful and moving performance which left the judges in no doubt that she has the potential to make a career for herself as a professional singer. Rudorwashe is in her final year of BSc Accounting and Finance.

Beaumont Loewenthal won £300 in the Runner-up Category for his compelling and well-crafted Japanese war film. Beaumont is in his final year of the BA Film and TV Production course.

The Creative Talent Showcase has been filmed and will be available shortly at enterprisebucks.co.uk for those who were unable to attend on the day to see the extraordinary talent of our students. The competition will run again in 2012-13 as a part of Enterprise Bucks.
